Dear Neighbor,
As a life-long Pierce County resident, I have dedicated the past 17 years to serving the public and striving to make our community a better place to live, work, own a business, and to raise a family.
Drawing upon my experience as an elected fire commissioner, senator, banker, non-profit director, and as a Pierce County Councilmember, I am excited to apply my experience and vision to the position of Pierce County Executive.
My vision for Pierce County is that by 2010 we will lead Washington State in job growth, safe communities, proactive education, and environmental protection. If this vision for a better Pierce County is to be realized, I believe Pierce County government must move quickly to:
- Expand economic hope and opportunity for all county residents
- Create safe, livable neighborhoods and business districts
- Put taxpayers first through customer friendly and ethical government
As a husband and father, I have a deep and personal interest in Pierce County's future. I offer a hopeful and optimistic vision for a better Pierce County. I firmly believe that Pierce County's best days are still ahead of us if we just have the courage, vision, and energy to reach for our full potential.
